Waifu Friend (“the App”) is operated by the Waifu Friend team (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the App.

By using Waifu Friend, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Waifu Friend is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.

Information you provide

We collect only the following information when you use the App:

• Chat messages you send within the App

• AI characters (waifus) and related content you create

We do not collect:

• Email addresses

• Usernames or nicknames

• Profile photos

• Device information

• Location data

• Usage analytics

• Crash logs

2. AI Processing & Memory

Waifu Friend uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and provide interactive chat experiences.

• User messages are processed by AI systems to generate responses.

• Messages may be stored and embedded to support memory features such as contextual recall (e.g. vector-based memory or RAG).

• Stored messages are linked to the user session and are not anonymized.

• User data is not used to train AI models.

• Messages may be processed by third-party AI service providers (currently TogetherAI). These providers may change over time.

AI processing is used only to deliver core app functionality.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses trusted third-party services to operate:

• Supabase

  • Anonymous authentication

  • Database and storage

  • Edge Functions

• RevenueCat

  • In-App Purchase management

  • Subscription status and receipt validation

• Superwall

  • Paywall presentation

• Firebase

  • Push notifications only

These services process data solely to provide app functionality.
We do not sell user data.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

• All payments are handled via Apple In-App Purchases.

• Payments are managed through RevenueCat.

• The App never accesses or stores credit card or payment details.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user.

• Subscription management and cancellation are handled through the App Store.

• The App does not offer free trials.

5. Anonymous Accounts & Data Deletion

• Waifu Friend uses anonymous authentication.

• No personal account creation is required.

• Users can delete their account directly within the App.

• When an account is deleted:

  • Chat messages are deleted

  • AI characters are deleted

  • All associated data is permanently removed

• Data deletion occurs immediately.

• No data is retained for legal or operational purposes after deletion.

6. Age Restriction & Content

• The App is intended for users 18 years or older.

• Waifu Friend is not designed for children.

• Content may be flirtatious or suggestive but does not include explicit sexual content.

• Users are responsible for the content they create.

• We reserve the right to restrict, moderate, or remove content that violates our rules or applicable laws.

7. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored securely in the cloud using Supabase.

• Access control mechanisms (such as row-level security) are in place.

• Data is protected using industry-standard security measures provided by our infrastructure partners.

• Limited administrative access to data may exist for maintenance and support purposes.

• We do not sell or share data for advertising or marketing purposes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.

Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
